Wasteland Band WASTELAND BAND from Munich - Germany. It happened on July 1991 when two frustrated Axemen met at an Open-Air-Festival and were talking about the destiny of Rock´n´Roll. Both were kicked out from the bands they were playing in at this time, so there were no bands and no future for them. After enjoying a couple of beers Jonny Szonell and Chris Mohr turned out the idea to eventually have a session together. Said and done, they tried to get three other bored musicians together. The day after Jonny rang up Franz Meier-Dini, ex-bassman from a folkband and Rick Shulz, ex-drummer from a german chartbreaker-band called Dominoe (they had a number 3 hit in the german and south-african charts back in 1989) to join the session. Also a guy called Thomas Haser, a rocksinger from the munich-area was added to this event. The first session with these 5 guys turned out to be the well-known chaos, that always happens when individual musicians get toghether for the first time. But the chemistry stood there like a giant from the first second on.The only question was what kind of music to play?
